A Journey
"The Journey" is a collection of six symbolic paintings that represent the conflict between self-infringement and the natural healing process.
The paintings depict a passage through disbelief, fear, endurance, and healing, during which both the individual and the surrounding nature are questioned. The inspiration for each painting was drawn from different places and represents a specific stage in the healing process.
The first two paintings of the collection, "Awareness" and "Sarcoma," were painted with the left hand after a medical intervention. They exemplify the mental state when normality becomes turmoil, and the awareness of it brings strength, hope, and fragile composure to embrace the unknown steps to follow.
